Western Mass Wedding Photography at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst Ma.

Elise and Jonathan are just the nicest couple you can meet. I enjoyed working with them and photographing their wedding so much, it was just a good time. Of course I have enjoyed photographing every wedding I have photographed in Western Mass and this one was no different.

Elise and Jonathan decided to have their first look before the ceremony which I am sure they found very helpful on a couple of levels.

The first off which this gave them more time for their Bridal portraits which in turn gave them more time to enjoy their Cocktail hour. I don’t think they are alone in wanting to attend their cocktail hour, I hear this as a concern from many of the couples I meet with that are planning their wedding day schedule.

The second benefit from having the first look before the ceremony is that it reduces a ton of stress. Once Elise saw Jonathan before the wedding she was so much more relaxed and was able to enjoy the wedding that much more. It so much easier to see each other for the first time when you don’t have all the eyes from the ceremony on you.

Unless you have a strict traditional belief on not seeing each other before the ceremony then I would highly recommend the first look before the ceremony.

Elise and Jonathan’s wedding was my first wedding reception at the Lord Jeffery Inn. The Staff was so helpful and what a beautiful historic looking building.

Having been an Executive Chef for well over a decade before I moved to Western mass and photographing weddings full time I tend to be a little critical of wedding food. The portions were not huge, although the right size for me, the quality was amazing. The beef was extremely tender and flavorful. I can’t wait to stop by for Sunday Brunch some time, after talking with Elise and Jonathan they said it was also incredible!
