I had a fantastic time photographing Kara and Chris’ engagement session at Forest Park in Springfield.

How did the two of you meet?
We met through a mutual friend at a pool hall.

How long did you date before you got engaged?
5 years

What was the Date you got engaged?

November 13, 2016

When did you know that they were the one?

When I realized how much I missed him when we weren’t together and i knew I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

Tell us about the proposal. Please be as descriptive as possible.
We went wine tasting with my best friend and her boyfriend at my favorite winery. We were inside hanging out and my best friends boyfriend kept insisting that we go outside to take pictures before dark. I took their picture in front of the winery sign and then they took Chris and I”s picture. As I went to walk away to look at the picture, Chris grabbed my arm and I turned around and he was down on one knee. He asked if I would marry him, and I obviously said yes!

What was your immediate thought/reaction when he or she asked for your hand in marriage?

I was very surprised and overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.

What was the most memorable part of the proposal?
The whole thing! It was a great day.

Tell us about the ring/band. Please be as descriptive as possible.
It is a white gold band with half the band in small diamonds and a solitaire round diamond in the middle.

Why did you choose this particular location for your engagement shoot?
We go to forest park often to walk our dog and their are some beautiful spots throughout the park.
