Hadley Farms Meeting House Wedding Photography with Ashley and Joe

Hi guys welcome back to the blog where I have another wonderful wedding from a local wedding venue Hadley Farms Meeting House.

Let’s hear from Ashley some of the details of the wedding.

We met in October of 2006. Ashley was a sophomore and Joe was a freshman at Chicopee High School. We met at Friday night football game at Szot Park in Chicopee through mutual friends. Most of our communication took place through AIM (now extinct!!) because we didn’t have any classes together. We started dating on December 9, 2006 and have been inseparable ever since.

We had just purchased our first home together on November 28 of 2016. Little did Ashley know, Joe had been planning to propose from that moment. It was on December 11, 2017 that he popped the question. Joe had planned to do it two nights prior, but Ashley was just not cooperating; she had other plans for the weekend and kept Joe on his toes, even forcing him to take the ring with him to Walmart! Finally, on Sunday night, right before his hockey game, Joe told Ashley to be quiet for just a minute (she hadn’t stopped all weekend!). He got down on one knee in the middle of the kitchen and asked Ashley to marry him. To his and her surprise (Ashley had no idea this was going to happen!), Ashley said ‘Thank You!’. She was so shocked she forgot to say Yes!! After the excitement and Joe asking again, she finally said ‘Yes”.

Stay organized and in touch with everyone involved. You’d be surprised who wants to/ is willing to help with anything to plan your big day.

Find someone you’re comfortable with!! You want to enjoy the day without having to worry about capturing memories on your own, so make sure the photographer you decide on knows what you want and are willing to do it. Greg was amazing!!
Cakes by Amanda- 16 Cat Alley, Barre, MA 01005; (978) 257-4136; https://www.facebook.com/CustomCakesbyAmanda/ -Flavors: Chocolate and Vanilla marble cake with a ‘tuxedo filling’—chocolate ganache and cream cheese with delicious cream cheese frosting. -The cake was the best we’ve ever tasted! It literally melted in your mouth! The design was simple, but went along with our theme perfectly. Amanda customized one tier to look like a white birch tree (our theme) with our initials carved in. The other tiers were whimsical ruffles to give depth, but simplicity to not take away from the focus of the birch tier.

AMAZING!! You were so easy going and relaxed. It made the experience so easy for us. We aren’t ones that like to pose for photos, but you made it feel natural, like we didn’t need to pose. We were able to be ourselves without feeling uncomfortable.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. In the end, the day is about your relationship and becoming husband and wife. Make sure you enjoy the entire process and communicate with one another the entire time!
A few other wedding professionals that made their day go so smoothly.
A big thank you to Lesley Arak for additional coverage
