What an interesting wedding that we were chosen to photograph on June 15, 2013. Eric is originally from Belchertown and is now living in Japan where he meet is bride Chika. Eric,  Chika and her family ( mom and dad, and 2 sisters) flew into Boston on the Monday before their Saturday wedding. We got to meet and do a quick engagement shoot on the Wednesday before their wedding at the house where Eric grew up.

Hats off to Eric’s mom who planned the whole wedding while Eric and Chika were still in Japan. It was quite impressive how she blended some of the Japanese culture into the wedding ceremony and reception.

The  Ceremony was up at the Quabbin Towers and it was a beautiful day and a great view. We then headed out to the Salem Cross Inn for some more photos and the reception.  The food is always great at the Salem Cross Inn and the staff is very friendly. If you are planning on having your wedding in Western Mass the Salem Cross Inn is a Wonderful place for your wedding photography.  The barn and the landscape there is so wonderful, lots of great location for beautiful photos. It really adds to the wedding photography.

For me though it’s always about the photos….

Another super nice couple Congratulations!

We had some challenges getting the weather to cooperate with us as we had to reschedule Brittany and Conrad’s engagement photo shoot twice before we got the beautiful evening that we ended up.  Well it was definitely worth it as Brittany and Conrad looked great and the weather was perfect.

I been back at Forest park in Springfield a couple of times this spring and I am always very happy with the number of different locations that are beautiful to photograph these wonderful engaged couples. I could easily spend the whole day photographing at forest park weather Wedding couples, engaged or portraits.

I photographed Brittany and Conrad down around the aquatic gardens quite a bit and we headed up to the rose gardens for a few more shots just before it got dark.

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October at the Publick House in Sturbridge I am sure it will be a beautiful event!

Wow! This was my first wedding at the Log Cabin since becoming a full time wedding photographer in Western Massachusetts and I there is no doubt why it is such a popular venue for weddings and wedding photography. The food was quite good, the staff was very friendly, the inside ballroom was in great shape but of course the real attraction was the view from their overlook where the ceremony was held. I am sure this is no surprise to anyone from the area but I was certainly amazed at the view.

The wedding was not though about the view, but about the marriage of Alyssa and Jeff. They were such a fun couple and it was a wonderful wedding. There was a balance of emotions including laughter and joy tears.

Thanks to Michelle for getting some of the wonderful wide shots of the ceremony. It really gives a good perspective of the venue.

Daniel and Erika had told they had a new spot picked out for their engagement session, so I followed them through the backwoods and their was no doubt that I did not know where I was or headed. I will say how excited I was when we pulled up to the location! How beautiful and rustic!

The old mill had a lot of charm from the little pond next to it to the very cool wood walls of the mill. Which all made great backdrops for the engagement photos. Of course the carpenter bees added their own little charm to the location.

I was excited to find out that Daniel is a Chef and Erika is interested in photography and has studied it in College.

I am looking forward to photographing their wedding this October 5th!

I can’t wait to see the  wedding boots that they chose for the  wedding day. It should make for some fun and beautiful wedding photography.
