What an amazing time we had at Julie and Eric’s wedding! They were blessed with a gorgeous day at Twin Hills Country Club.

I love sharing the story behind my couples weddings so let’s hear all about their experience from Julie.

How did you two meet?

Eric’s aunt and my mom are best friends. They had been trying to set us up for months then we finally met at his cousin’s baby shower and the rest is history.

How did he pop the question?

It was New Years Eve and we were getting ready to go to my sisters house for dinner. According to Eric, I was taking too long to get ready and he asked me to come in the other room. He said he made me something and handed me a photo book filled with pictures of us. The last three pages/pictures were of of my niece and nephews where they were each holding a sign that said “will” “you” “marry” and the last page/picture was of Eric holding a sign that said “me”. I looked at him and he was on one knee…

What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?

Our first dance was on the eighteenth hole, our favorite moment was dancing and looking up at all of the guests watching and cheering us on!

What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?

Look at your photographer’s work before meeting with them but most importantly trust them, they know what they’re doing!

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?

I went to Pearl Boutique in Holyoke, MA. I went in to try on a dress that I was trying to decide if it was the one. One of the ladies working suggested that I try on a certain dress as she felt it had everything I was looking for. Everyone, including me, was in awe of the dress.

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Greg was awesome to work with. He was down to earth and easy to work with. We had a huge wedding party and he kept everyone in line which was much needed!

Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently?
