The Log Cabin Wedding Photography

Galina and Jeff’s wedding at the Log Cabin in Holyoke Mass.

Their wedding was such a thrill to photograph, they were fun and relaxed to work photograph.  Galinas’ dress was just stunning! I am not just saying that. Let’s here more about how Galina found her dress.

First I went to David’s Bridal, tried on 6-7 dresses, and gave up. The next weekend I went to Pearl Bridal in Holyoke. I went in and said “I need a dress for a wedding in 4 months.” They looked at me and said “okay, we got you.” The first dress they had me try on was the dress! You know it’s the one when you can’t stop smiling.

I am always excited about photographing at The Log Cabin the view is amazing and the staff in friendly and helpful.

Here is a piece of advice from Galina and Jeff.

Go with a venue that’s all inclusive except the main vendors such as photographer and DJ.

Also

Make sure to use the wedding day photographer for your engagement sessions. That way, you’ll know their style and have a preview of how things will work the day of. Also, when they put you in seemingly awkward poses, just go along with it! Those will be some of the best photos!!

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Fantastic! You were fun, professional, and considerate of what we wanted. You were there to help capture the special moments, but when we needed a few minutes to ourselves, you let us have that also. It was a perfect mix! Your assistant was fun and extremely patient as she had to run around us several times with a sparkler! We also felt comfortable around you right away because we worked on the engagement photos together.

We did the first look. We loved it! It was easily the best moment of the whole day. We read very personal vows to each other in private during the first look. It took the edge off going forward with the day because we didn’t have to read vows to each other in front of everyone and only had to repeat the I-Do’s in front of family and friends. Once we saw each other, it was a moment of happiness and relief and it really felt like we were in it together for whatever happened that day!

For the bride, use the same make-up person for your engagement session. That way, you’ll see how the makeup turns out in photos! For someone who never wears makeup, the trial run for the engagement session made me realize that’s not the type of make-up I want on my wedding day. There is no other preparation for wedding photos. Just have fun! Don’t be afraid to be silly and sweet to each other.
Now let’s get to the photos!

Hello!

I’ve got another glorious Log Cabin Wedding Photography for you guys today!

The happy couple consists of Michelle and Dominic, two people that anyone would love  and be happy to know. The Log Cabin Wedding Photography

Their wedding day was truly amazing! We were all a little worried about the weather but the little mist and overcast didn’t slow down anyone and added a little saturation to the outside photos.

Michelle’s dress was so stunning. I know I say that about a lot of wedding dresses but come on take a look.

” It was sweetheart neck, strapless, and flowy. It was opposite of what I wanted, but when I put it on I was emotional! I knew it was the one, everyone else had the same reaction. We added a belt to the dress to make it my own. We found it at In White in feeding hills.”

We had a lot of fun taking wedding pictures, as well. They decided to not see each other until Michelle was walking down the aisle. In fact Michelle says one of her favorite parts of the wedding day was seeing Dominic for the first time as she was walking down the aisle.

The Wedding was at Saint Mary’s Parish in Westfield, the reception was at the Log Cabin. They danced their first song, Stand by me, which was played by Thom from Marx Entertainment.

Okay, let’s get to the pictures! Michelle and Dominic were such a delight to work with and I wish them many wonderful years to come.

Hello!

I’ve got another stunning wedding for you guys today! The gorgeous couple consists of Cassy and Jason, two people that anyone would love to know. Simsbury Ct. Wedding Photography at  the Riverview is always amazing as it is a gorgeous wedding venue.

Simsbury Ct wedding photography The bride’s dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I’m not just saying that!

“I tried on like 80 dresses (lol!) I (finally) found the one that I felt comfortable in and it had everything that I wanted: a train, sparkle/bling, fitted, and rushed.”

I presented a same day slideshow at their reception of about 55 photos we took during the day so far and they really enjoyed it as you can see!

The wedding and the reception were both at The Riverview in Simsbury Ct.. They danced to their first song “Steady as we go” by Dave Matthews  which was played by DJ Steve Nagle.

“Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and let the photographer guide you; they know what they are doing! Also, let the photographer know if you have any self conscious areas/concerns, they are able to create pictures that diminish those concerns.”  says Cassy Strom

I want to thank Aleksandr Verbetsky and Molly Adams for helping to photograph Cassy and Jason’s wedding.

Okay, let’s get to the pictures! Cassy and Jason were such a delight to work with and I wish them many wonderful years to come.

Sturbridge Wedding Photography

Laura and Kyle’s Wedding at the Sturbridge Host Hotel

What a perfect day for a wedding at the Sturbridge Host Hotel for Laura and Kyle’s wedding. This is such a great place for Sturbridge Wedding Photography.

From the getting ready, to the first look and then to the outdoor ceremony by the lake everything was gorgeous!

Every wedding I photograph just makes me more excited for the next. It must be all of the wonderful couples I get to photograph. They are all so happy and calm on their wedding day. In most cases when researching a location to have the couples first look the first thought is to look outside. I don’t necessarily disagree with that but the hallway at the Sturbridge Host Hotel has such beautiful light that it would be a shame not to use it. So we did :). Oh and what great light it was, make sure to scroll down to check out their first look photos.

The Photos of the sunset came out beautifully, but they were not without a little challenge from the wind. Just as Alekasandr got out on the dock the wind starting kicking up and making it challenging to control the direction of the softbox. We were able to get the shot without anything or anyone taking a dive into the water.

Any day I get to head out for Sturbridge Wedding photography I am grateful and I was so honored to be part of Lauren and Kyle’s Wedding day.
