Higgins House Engagement session
Here is a throwback to a fall engagement session with Cara And Micah. Let’s find out more about the two of them.
Micah was introduced to Cara by a mutual friend, Elizabeth, in their freshman year of college. Micah asked Cara on a date on her birthday, and the rest is history!
We dated in college and long-distance afterwards for nearly 8 years

Neither of us can pick a specific moment, it seemed we “just knew” from the very beginning.
Micah has been professing his eternal love since early 2009 with candy hearts, fortune cookies, and heartfelt re-enactments of love songs. Cara proposed in August 2014 with matching key “rings” engraved with the opening lines to what will be their first dance song and a hand-drawn card. She surprised Micah on his birthday with champagne and breakfast (because Cara was so nervous, the proposal happened at 8 am because she couldn’t sleep!).
Micah: Yes!
Cara: Micah’s complete surprise Micah: the awesome card. Cara drew sort of a comic strip of our love story
Micah presented Cara with a beautiful self-designed ring containing diamonds from both of their families on a gorgeous day in Muir Woods National Park, CA. There are 8 small diamonds in the ring, one for each year they were together before becoming engaged. The design is a mix of modern and natural inspiration, with the stones in bezel settings in symmetric waves.
We currently live in Worcester, so it was a nice way to celebrate our engagement and next step as a couple in such a pretty place!
